Christmas Accommodation Penzance

Dear Guest,

Due to the great success and response we had to opening over Christmas and New Year last year we are doing it all again! Our aim once again is to offer you the most relaxing and stress free time we possibly can. The Mount Haven Hotel is ideally situated on the west coast of Cornwall with stunning views over the historic St. Michaels Mount and across to Penzance and Newlyn. The hotel is renowned locally and indeed nationally for having a relaxing atmosphere with the very best of locally sourced food for us to show off to you! The focus for us this Christmas is quality, no tat and an honest Cornish traditional time with your enjoyment at the fore of our thoughts.

The running order is below for you to review and get taken away with.

The ‘Christmas bit’

Arrival from 2pm on the 23rd December (4 day package)

Arrive and be whisked to our main seating area to enjoy a traditional Cornish cream tea.

Whilst you are enjoying (what we are sure will be) dramatic views over the Mount we will take your bags to your bedroom ready for you to unwind.

In the evening join us for a three course dinner in our two-rosette restaurant with food carefully prepared for you by our talented team of chefs.

Christmas Eve- 24th December (Start of 3 day package after 2pm)

If you are on our 4 day package, wake up and head down to the restaurant for a hearty Cornish breakfast served between 8am-10am.

We then leave the day up to you to explore the local area and see what last minute shopping you can get done.

For our guests on a 3-day package your arrival will be the same as above after 2pm and enjoying a freshly cooked cream tea before heading to the room!

Everybody will meet in the bar by 6pm to be welcomed by a glass of bubbles before we have some carols sung for us between 6.15pm-7.30pm

From 6.30pm-9pm, we will start dinner service down in the restaurant where you can enjoy a 4-course dinner followed by a cheese board with a glass of port, sherry or dessert wine.

After dinner, back up to the main bar area for after dinner coffee and petit fours before (if you wish) walking down to the All Saints Church just down the hill.

The bar will remain open until 2am for you to enjoy a final nightcap before bed.

Christmas Day- 25th December

Wake up to breakfast served between 7am-9.30am with a glass of bucks fizz to start the day off.

Join us in the bar between 11.30am-12.30pm for pre-dinner drinks.

Christmas lunch will be served between 12pm-3pm (booking a time is essential).

We will be showing the Queens Speech in the bar at 3pm

There will be a selection of cakes, mince pies, coffee & tea for you to help yourself to in the bar for the late afternoon.

Between 8pm-10pm we will serve a traditional Christmas day buffet in the restaurant for you to enjoy at your leisure.

Boxing Day- 26th December

Come down for a brunch style breakfast between 10am-1pm serving classic breakfast dishes and light lunch style.

We will then give you a list of things to go and see in the local area to keep you entertained throughout the day. Or you can simply stay in the hotel, play board games and watch the world go by.

In the evening we will be serving you a 3-course dinner between 6.30pm-9pm.

After dinner join us in the bar for a farewell cocktail of your choice from a carefully put together list by our team.

For the more adventurous, if you prefer, take a short stroll down into Marazion to join the locals in their celebrations. Firework displays can be watched all around the bay from your own balcony or the hotel terrace.

New Year’s Day- 1st January 2015

Wake up to a very late breakfast which will be served 10.30 and 1pm. Again you have a ‘free day’ to recover from the night before or if you are feeling more fresh head out for the traditional New Years Day walk along the beach.

In the evening a traditional roast dinner with all the trimmings will be served between 6pm-8pm.

Departure day- 2nd January 2015

Your final morning will start with breakfast from 8am. Enjoy a leisurely check-out up to 1pm and you can step out into 2014 ready to face the world again.

So, that’s everything we are offering this year, we have made a few changes to what we did last year and I really hope this has made you as excited as we are about having the opportunity to run this program again.

Below for you to review are the prices for the 3 different ‘bits’ we are offering over this time. If you book from the 23rd December right through until the 2nd January we are offering a 10% discount on the overall accommodation rate.

We have also put below for you some of the notes in cards and emails we received from last years guests for you to see what they though of how we do Christmas and New Year at the Mount Haven!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance and if I can help any more or you have any questions please do ask me directly.
